With this piece I wanted to explore the possibilities of steel and I wanted to use the skills that learned in my welding class at Gateway. I was only allowed to use scrap metal in the back of the shop, but I was able to use it to make a fairly large piece. By using a oxy fuel torch I was able to stretch three of the springs longer than they were originally. I intend to do more with the piece later.
